DEVELOPMENTS

Nyamazane Game Ranch is currently undergoing a number of exciting developments to cater for the needs of all our guests and provide the best experience possible

GAME INTRODUCTION

In past few years the Nyamazane species list has grown with the introduction of the daring dassies, secretive nyala and towering giraffe, adding to the value of our ecosystem and growing our Nyamazane family.

To Look out for – Plans are underway to introduce hippo and rhino which together with the existing leopard and buffalo will afford our guests the opportunity to see three of the big six right here in the South Coast. The redbilled oxpecker is the latest addition to our list of over 250 bird species. Be sure to be one of the first to experience these exciting developments waiting in the pipeline.

ALIEN PLANT REMOVAL & TREE INTRODUCTION

Nyamazane has launched a full force attack against alien invader plant species taking over our systems and are removing hundreds of black wattle, Solanum mauritianum, Lantana camara and other such species as part of a function based habitat redesign. In their place and in the effort to conserve the Remarkable trees of Africa, we have and are continuing to plant a number of Sycamore fig and indigenous Acacia species as well as palatable grass types, promoting a healthier ecosystem by providing homes and nourishment for our indigenous wildlife.

ACCOMMODATION

Construction is finally underway with our Bed and Breakfast and additional lodging coming up to cater for bigger groups.

WEDDING VENUE

Nestled deep in the valley at the edge of a large grassland, bordered by thick bush and overlooking a gently trickling stream lies the developing Nyamazane wedding venue. Construction of our outdoor wedding venue was completed and the first wedding held in December 2018.

Couples that dream of a gorgeous outdoor wedding under the open skies can enquire regarding availability.

The multitude of natural landscapes and breath taking sunsets make the venue the perfect environment from which to take spectacular wedding photos and make memories to last a lifetime.

Should the happy couple wish to host both the ceremony and the reception on the ranch, the leopard lodge and buffalo camp facilities will be made available to them. A marquee tent erected on the lawn of the lodge creates a fairytale scene under the glittering African sky.

A maximum of 80 guests can be hosted on the ranch. Further developments of a second venue are also underway.
